U・Ｍ：赤い色はネタニヤフさんの仕事の結果と見て良いのでしょうか。黒を囲碁のように取り囲んでいく、思想や文化歴史を超えた戦略的外交ですね、パイプス先生の分析もクールだと思います。もし日本の色が変わったら北緯４０度線前後の色がパタパタ変わりそうに見えます。トルコと日本が赤というのは相当な戦略家だとパイプス先生は見ているのではないでしょうか。

ユーリ：U様、ありがとうございます。パイプス先生は、ネタニヤフ氏と1980年代前半に知り合って以来の関係で、お互いにイスラエルを守るための戦略家として、いつも喧々囂々の火花を散らし、相互批判をしながら頑張っています。トルコと日本の関係は、今後見直しが必要ではないでしょうか。外交は外交、研究は研究、というのが私の昔からの立場です。つまり、外交としては友好的であっても、研究は批判的でなければならない、というものです。
